Oracle DBA & Developer

Provided DBA support for a new Oracle development in conjunction with Perot Systems Europe. The database server was a Cray SuperServer running Solaris 2.4, Oracle 7.2 and Sql*net 2.2

Summary of work :

Installation of Oracle Designer 2000 software on Workgroups PC server
Design standards for Oracle/Unix configuration
Build and enhancement of system scripts to manage databases, Sql*net and Oracle*Names.
Size and configure the production database
Design/Build of a large batch suite to feed Legacy System data into Oracle, using Unix Korn Shell scripting, Sql*Loader, PL/SQL, Database Pipes and Pro*C.
Design/Build a set of detailed data validation screens in Oracle*Forms 4.5 for post-batch checking.
